The Best is yet to Come

This is my first attempt at blogging. After reading some of the blogs my friends have created I decided that this would be an exciting way to update family and friends on the adventure we are about to embark on together, Clint and I. I will not claim to be a good writer, that will come with time. Clint is a much better writer and I'm sure he will be glad to teach me some of his skills when we get to spend a bit more time together.

Forty-five days from today I will be walking down the isle of a small town church to say "I Do" to my best friend Clint Turner. August eleventh two thousand and twelve will forever mark the merging of two lives into one. Planning is not one of my strong suites, I couldn't do it without all the help my sisters and mothers are giving me. But I do know that it will all come together and be an amazing day where his story and my story will come together and start our story.

As most of you know Clint has been in Russia for a month and a half now. That is where our first home together will be. He is managing a forage operation for a large dairy farm in the Penza Region of Russia, 700 kilometers (about 450 miles) south and a bit east of Moscow. The language barrier and cultural difference are the two main hurdles that he has to overcome to do his job. Clint loves to learn as well as impart knowledge and is welcoming the challenge.

For me there are forty-five short days full of travel, weddings, showers, and planning ahead until our big day. I don't want to rush the time because it will be here before we know it, but I can't wait to marry that man and start our story.
